For a while now, this space has been a quiet corner of the shop — a place to talk about fabric. It’s becoming something more deliberate. Welcome to the Journal.
The Fabric Broker has grown past being a fabric store. It’s now a creative platform: we design our own products, we help other founders make theirs, and we spend most of our days deep in the parts of this business nobody usually gets to see. The Journal is where I write it all down.
Here’s what you can expect to find here, regularly:

- Fabric & sourcing — the materials, the mills, the trips, the finds.
- Product development — the unglamorous, fascinating work of taking an idea to a finished thing.
- Behind the brand — the decisions, the wins, the near-misses, the reality of building something.
- Inspiration & travel — the moodboards, colour stories and places that feed the work.
Some of it will be useful. Some of it will just be beautiful. Most of it is the conversation I wish I’d had access to when I started — the founder’s side of the story, told properly.
