About Tiernan
Over a decade in textiles — and still obsessed.
I’m Tiernan. I source fabric, develop product, build brands, and document the whole beautiful, chaotic process along the way.
The Fabric Broker started as a fabric store. It has become something bigger — a creative platform for the work I’ve spent more than ten years learning how to do.
I was born into a family of seamstresses. My Granny taught me how texture and tone go together before I knew it was a skill. Everything since — the sourcing trips, the mill relationships, the sample rounds, the launches that worked and the ones that taught me something — has been built on that.
What I actually do
Sourcing and manufacturing. Product development from a loose idea to a finished, sellable thing. Fabric — still the heart of it. And increasingly, working with other founders and brands to bring their own products to life, because I’ve made most of the mistakes already so they don’t have to.
Why I document it
Most of the interesting part of building things happens off-camera: the decision-making, the near-misses, the supplier who says yes, the fabric that changes everything. I write it all down in the Journal — part record, part reference, part the conversation I wish I’d had when I started.
Beautiful things, made properly, by someone who’s still genuinely excited about them. That’s the whole idea.
The brand & me
The Fabric Broker and I are the same story, told two ways. The brand is where the products, the fabric and the Journal live. My Instagram is where you get the rest of it — the outfits, the school run, the launches, the reality of building something while raising a family. Come find me there.
“I’m not an influencer with a shop. I’m a founder who makes things — and happens to let you watch.”
